Railbender, Erie Brewing Co.

We both really enjoyed this beer. Thankfully we have an extra in the fridge for later. We tried this at the Thunderbird poured into a half pint glass. It's amber in color with a somewhat malty, sweet sugary smell, but doesn't taste sugary or sweet. In fact it sort of reminds me of when you have an orange and stick cloves and cinnamon into to, but it only sort of tasted like that, although not citrusy like sticking an orange slice in it either. It had some carmel flavor going on. This would make a nice winter beer without sticking the winter label on it. Glad we found this one, and it's brewed just north a bit in Erie. Bill and I will both be drinking this one in the future, but it's not a favorite, although we would recommend it. I'd give it an engine and a caboose and a steam car, but not the passenger car.
