Tonight's beer is from Colorado, home of the silver bullet. This beer taps into the rockies by channeling Colorado's association with wheat fields and Mexicans. I have never been to Colorado, but seeing as how this beer was made with Agave nectar I can assume that the landscape is littered with Cacti.
The beer has a Day of the Dead style skull wearing a sombrero with a shaff of wheat sticking out of its mouth. Apart from how neat the label looks, it is a pretty nice beer. Very summertime and not overly sweet, probably due to the Agave. Kelly described it as "what it would taste like if a cactus sweat beer". She also noted that it could stand for a little kick from an orange slice or some sort of garnish, which I suppose is normal with Mexican beers. It is dry and has a really nice looking color that is sort of a golden orange misty frothy-ness.
It' s still too cold to drink this to its potential and I have to make a note to drink it again this May Cinco.
I give it 3 out of 4 cursed Aztec medallions. Nice but not too nice.
